Fire Suppression
Structural, vehicular, and wildland fire suppression across northeastern Louisa County and Lake Anna.
On-Scene EMS
First responder EMS care on scene — stabilizing patients until transport units arrive.
Vehicle Rescue
Motor vehicle accident rescue and extrication services for our coverage area.
Public Safety Education
Fire prevention, CPR classes, smoke detector installation, and community outreach programs.
Community Programs
Station tours, public events, safety presentations, and address sign assistance.
Fire Prevention
Inspections, education, and resources to help our community prevent fires before they start.
Charge phones, tablets, e-bikes, and scooters on a hard surface — never on a bed, couch, or under a pillow. Lithium-ion battery fires are fast and violent.

BVFD Station 1 is located at 96 Fredericks Hall Road in Bumpass, Virginia. Our coverage area spans northeastern Louisa County, including the private side of Lake Anna and surrounding rural communities.
As Lake Anna continues to grow and our call volume increases, BVFD is actively seeking volunteers to join our team. Whether you're interested in firefighting, EMS, administration, or public education — there's a role for you.
