BVFD Apparatus
Our five-unit fleet of fire and rescue apparatus keeps northeastern Louisa County and Lake Anna protected around the clock.

Engine 3
Engine 3 is BVFD's primary structural fire engine and the backbone of our suppression capability. This Marion-built pumper is the first-line attack apparatus for structure fires, vehicle fires, and large-scale incidents. Equipped with a full pump panel and hose complement, Engine 3 handles the most demanding fire suppression assignments across our coverage area.

Attack 3
Attack 3 is BVFD's quick-attack mini pumper, providing rapid initial response when every second counts. Built on a Ford F-550 XL Super Duty chassis, this agile unit carries its own water supply and pump for immediate attack on small structure fires, vehicle accidents, and medical assists โ reaching scenes faster than the full engine in congested or narrow-access areas.

Tanker 3
Tanker 3 is BVFD's water supply tanker, critical for operations in the rural and lake areas of our district where fire hydrants are sparse or absent. Carrying a large water reserve, Tanker 3 establishes sustained water supply at extended operations by shuttling between the scene and a fill site โ keeping attack lines charged when no hydrant is nearby.

Brush 3
Brush 3 is BVFD's wildland firefighting apparatus, designed for off-road access and initial attack on grass, brush, and wildland fires. Built on a heavy-duty International 4ร4 chassis, Brush 3 carries its own water and pump for direct attack in areas where a structural engine cannot operate โ essential in the heavily forested terrain surrounding Lake Anna.
